Regional and Sociolinguistic Variation of Personal Pronouns in Dialects of Najdi Arabic

This study examines the regional and sociolinguistic variation in paradigms of personal pronouns, independent dependent, Najdi dialects. The dialects are Central, Qassim, Northern. social sub-varieties Central dialect: Hamadan, Hawazin, Sedentary. data was collected using interview 25 speakers. It found that there were more variations pronoun forms than what have been reported literature. When comparing with Standard Arabic, conservative number changes to forms. However, Qassim Northern retained gender distinction plural while did not. introduced pronouns never mentioned
